Refund policy
Fair, and clearly stated.
Shymea lives in the app — subscriptions and in-app purchases there are billed and refunded by Apple. A small selection of one-time report PDFs is also sold on shymea.com. This page explains, in plain language, how refunds work for both.

Purchases in the Shymea app
The Shymea app is our main product, and everything you buy inside it — subscriptions and in-app purchases — is billed by Apple, not by Shymea. Refunds for those go through Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (sign in with the Apple ID you purchased with, find the charge, and choose "Request a refund"). Apple decides these refunds under its own policy; we can't issue or override them. To stop a subscription renewing, cancel it in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. When Shymea launches on Android, Google Play purchases will work the same way through Google.
Report PDFs bought on shymea.com
Each report sold on shymea.com is a one-time, personalized digital product. It is computed from the exact birth details you provide and written specifically for you at the moment of purchase. Because the report is generated and delivered to you right after payment, it is a custom digital good rather than a subscription or a physical item. The rest of this policy covers these web purchases.
When you can get a refund
- Technical failure. If your payment went through but the report failed to generate or never became available to download, we will re-generate it or issue a full refund.
- Duplicate charge. If you were charged more than once for the same report, we will refund the duplicate.
- Wrong or corrupted file. If the delivered PDF is unreadable, incomplete, or for the wrong report, we will fix it or refund it.
- Not-as-described. If a report materially fails to deliver what its description promised, contact us and we will make it right.
When a refund usually doesn't apply
- The report was generated and delivered correctly but you simply changed your mind, or you disagree with the astrological interpretation (astrology is for reflection and entertainment — see our Terms).
- Incorrect birth details. The reading is computed from the date, time, and place you enter; please double-check them before purchase. If you entered the wrong details, contact us and we'll do our best to re-run the report with the correct information.
How to request a refund
Email support@shymea.com within 14 days of purchase with your order reference (shown on the success page and in your receipt) and a short note on what went wrong. We aim to respond within two business days.
How refunds are processed
Payments and checkout for report purchases on shymea.com are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Approved refunds are issued by that provider back to your original payment method; how quickly the credit appears depends on your bank or card provider. The provider's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer law of your country. Where the law gives you stronger rights than the above, those rights apply.
