Terms of service
The fine print, plainly said.
These are the terms you agree to when you use shymea.com or the Shymea app. We've tried to keep them short and straightforward.
Last updated: 5 July 2026
What Shymea is
Shymea is a Western astrology app and website, operated by Shymea Private Limited ("Shymea," "we," "our"). Shymea reads your birth chart and generates personalized guidance — daily cards, compatibility, chart readings, and conversations with an in-app astrologer. By using shymea.com or the Shymea app you agree to these terms.
What Shymea isn't (important disclaimer)
Shymea is for guidance, self-reflection, and entertainment. Nothing Shymea says is professional medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for it. Astrological interpretation is not science and outcomes are not guaranteed. If you're making a serious decision about your health, money, safety, or legal situation, talk to a qualified professional in that field. You are responsible for the decisions you make.
Your account
- You need to be 16 or older to use Shymea.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for the security of that account and for activity that happens under your Shymea account.
- The profile and birth data you enter — your name, email, and date, time, and place of birth — should be yours, or that of someone whose data you're allowed to enter (for example, with their consent).
- Don't use Shymea to harass, deceive, or harm anyone — including yourself.
Acceptable use
Please use Shymea lawfully and fairly. Don't attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; don't scrape or bulk-extract our content; don't resell or redistribute Shymea-generated content as your own product; don't upload unlawful content or use Shymea to mislead, defraud, or harm others; and don't impersonate someone or enter another person's birth data without their permission. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
Content & intellectual property
Everything Shymea generates for you — your readings, chat replies, reports — is yours to keep and share in your personal life. The underlying software, design, calculations, written templates, brand, and the Shymea name and logo are owned by Shymea Private Limited and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Shymea; we don't transfer ownership of the product to you. Don't copy, scrape, or resell Shymea-generated content as your own product.
Privacy
How we handle your name, email, birth data, and other personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid features, when available, will be clearly priced before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in the app store where you bought them (App Store or Google Play); refunds for those are handled through those stores' policies.
Reports purchased on shymea.com are one-time, personalized digital goods. Checkout and billing for these are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Refunds for web report purchases follow our Refund Policy.
Availability
We do our best to keep Shymea running, but we can't guarantee it'll be available every second of every day. We may update, change, or retire features as the product evolves.
If things go wrong
Shymea is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions you make based on Shymea's guidance, or for indirect losses from using the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, where Shymea Private Limited is registered, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms over time. We'll update the date at the top of the page and, for meaningful changes, notify you by email.
