How we calculate your chart

Accuracy is the whole point, so we don't cut corners on the math. Shymea works in the Western tradition: the Tropical zodiac with Placidus house division — the system most Western astrologers use. Planetary positions are computed with the Skyfield astronomy library using the JPL DE442 ephemeris (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) — the same astronomical data used for spacecraft navigation — so every placement is computed from the real sky against your exact birth date, time, and place. We use this for the astronomical calculation; it isn't a claim that astrology is scientifically validated.

Your daily and transit readings use a live astronomical engine (Skyfield) to track where the planets actually are right now and how they move against your natal chart. Nothing is templated by Sun sign, and no placement is faked or rounded to a stereotype — if a number appears in your chart, it was computed from the real sky.

Shymea is built by a small team that pairs traditional Western astrological technique — natal interpretation, synastry, profections, returns, electional and horary work — with modern software so the readings stay grounded in the real chart rather than generic horoscopes. How we think about astrology

We treat astrology as a language for reflection, not a crystal ball. Shymea won't give you fear-based predictions, won't claim to reveal a fixed destiny, and won't tell you a relationship is doomed or guaranteed. We avoid "perfect," "best," and "scientifically proven" language because none of it would be honest. What we do is read your real chart carefully and put it in plain words, so the choices stay yours.

Compatibility only happens with consent — both people approve before any two charts are compared. Your birth data is treated as sensitive personal information: used to calculate your chart, never sold, never handed to advertisers.
