The Subterraneous place (hypogeion)
The 4th house is the base of the chart, the point under your feet at birth. The Greeks called it the Subterraneous place. It's about home, land and property, parents (especially, in many texts, the father), ancestry, and how things end.
It is an angular house, one of the four pillars of the chart, so a 4th house year tends to be noticeable. Moving house is the classic version. So is renovating, moving back in with family, or becoming the person who looks after a parent.
