Jupiter in Leo for Aquarius Rising: the other person gets larger
Jupiter in Leo for Aquarius rising falls in the whole-sign seventh house from 30 June 2026 to 26 July 2027, directly opposite your Ascendant. The seventh house holds partnership, marriage, contracts and open opponents. Jupiter enlarges the other person, so the year is about who you are bound to and on what terms.
Counting whole-sign houses from a Aquarius Ascendant, Leo is your 7th house: partnership, marriage, contracts, open opponents. Not sure of your rising sign? Calculate it.
Jupiter opposite the Ascendant
Aquarius rising has Jupiter opposite the Ascendant for the whole of its stay in Leo, in the seventh house: partnership, marriage, business partners, contracts, and the opponents who face you openly rather than from behind. Counting whole-sign houses from your rising sign, Leo is the seventh sign from Aquarius and sits directly across the chart, so the entire sign is your seventh house. The Shymea app draws Placidus houses, which put the Descendant at a specific degree; a rising-sign page like this one works better in whole signs.
Seventh-house Jupiter is the transit of the significant other, in every sense of the phrase. The most familiar version is romantic: a partner appears, a relationship becomes formal, a marriage is discussed or made. But the house is wider than that. It holds the business partner, the co-signer, the agent, the lawyer on the other side, the person you are negotiating with, and Jupiter enlarges all of them at once. The year tends to be full of other people with proposals. Not all of the proposals are worth taking, and the house does not sort them; it only makes sure they arrive.
For Aquarius rising the seventh house is Leo, the sign opposite its own, and the tension is built in. Aquarius rising values distance, independence and the group; Leo on the Descendant wants a single other person who is warm, central and seen. Jupiter in the seventh makes the offer of that person hard to refuse, and the year's difficulty is not finding a partner but accepting how much room one takes.
Proposals in the autumn, renegotiation in the winter
Jupiter has been in the seventh house since it entered Leo on 30 June 2026; the crossings of the sign are listed in the table, in UTC. In a seventh-house year the first months usually bring the other person into focus: someone new, or someone known who suddenly wants more, or a contract offered on terms generous enough to be suspicious of. The early stretch is where the proposal is made. It is not where it is decided, and Aquarius rising, which likes to think a proposal over for longer than the proposer expects, is entitled to the delay.
The retrograde station on 13 December 2026 at 27.02° of Leo begins the four months in which the partnership is reconsidered from both sides. Jupiter retreats through the late degrees until April, and what was agreed in the autumn is renegotiated, or simply lived with long enough to see whether it fits. A natal planet between 17° and 27° of Leo receives three conjunctions, and if that planet sits in your seventh house natally the year's other person is described by it. The last pass, into July 2027, is where the arrangement becomes the ordinary state of things or is politely dissolved.

Suppose the other person turned up like this
Say you have been single for a while and comfortable with it. In the seventh-house year someone arrives who is louder, warmer and more insistent than the people you usually choose, and by the spring you are living together and slightly alarmed by how much you like it. The retrograde months are where you find out whether the alarm was about them or about the Descendant.
Suppose the partnership is commercial. An Aquarius rising freelancer is offered a partner, a merger, an agent who promises to double the work. The contract is generous. The seventh house also holds the opponent, and the year can bring the person you end up across a table from, in a negotiation or a dispute, and Jupiter tends to make that person larger, better resourced and more reasonable than expected.
Or say you are already married. Seventh-house Jupiter in an established relationship is often the year the partner expands: a new job, a new confidence, a new claim on the shared life. Aquarius rising, which likes its partner to be a companion rather than a sun, has to adjust to being the one who orbits for a while.
Friends, money and Saturn in the background
Jupiter rules the eleventh house (Sagittarius) and the second (Pisces) for Aquarius rising, so the seventh-house year is connected to friends and to money: the partner often arrives through the group, and the partnership tends to change what you earn or own. Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius and of the chart, is in Aries in your third house throughout, which keeps the year's talk about the partnership sober, practical and in writing; the two houses are in sextile, and the paperwork usually helps rather than hinders.
- If you also have planets in Aquarius in the first, Jupiter opposes them from the seventh, and the year is a direct negotiation between who you are alone and who you are with someone.
- If you also have planets in Leo natally, they already sit in your seventh house, and the other person of this year is described by them, at the crossings the table shows.
- If you also have planets in Scorpio in the tenth or Taurus in the fourth, Jupiter squares them, and the partnership pulls against career or home: the relationship grows and the job or the house has to make space.
- If you also have natal Venus in Leo, the romantic reading of the house is the loud one, and the year is about being chosen more than about contracts.
Accepting an offer without losing the first house
Worth doing
- Let the other person be larger than you are used to, for at least a season, before deciding.
- Get the partnership, romantic or commercial, into writing while Jupiter makes the terms generous.
- Keep your own first-house life going; a seventh-house year is not improved by disappearing into someone.
- Treat an open opponent as information about what you want, which is what the house intends.
- Ask your friends what they see, because the eleventh house is Jupiter's and they are unusually useful this year.
Not worth forcing
- Do not sign in October what you would not sign in April.
- Do not confuse being wanted with being suited.
- Do not read the retrograde renegotiation as the partnership failing.
- Do not let Aquarius rising's instinct for distance turn a good offer into a missed one.
- Do not treat any of this as legal or relationship advice; it describes a house, and the contracts are yours to read.
From who you are with to what you share
On 26 July 2027 Jupiter enters Virgo and moves into your eighth house, and the enlargement of the other person stops. The partner does not leave on that date. What changes is the question, from who you are with to what you share with them, and the eighth-house year that follows is usually where the partnership made in this one has to open its accounts.
What a seventh-house Jupiter year leaves behind for Aquarius rising is a person, a contract, or a clearer sense of why neither was accepted. All three are useful. The measure of the year is whether, in August, the other person in your life is one you chose on terms you can name, and whether you are still recognisably yourself beside them.
