Tuesday 27 October, Capricorn: with the Moon in Taurus you have it in your 5th house, where the business is sport, games and play. Watch : the Moon opposes Mercury, which sits in your 11th house of friends, groups and plans.
Capricorn today, house by house
Today's Moon in Taurus falls in the house traditionally given to children, pleasure and love affairs, and your mood lifts with anything playful. If you are dating, the day suits a light plan over a heavy conversation. If you are not, it suits doing something you enjoy with people around.
The Moon changes sign at . From then it is in your 6th house, where the subject becomes pets and the animals you look after.
- The Moon opposes Mercury, and your 11th house pulls the other way. Plans need a second look, and so does the small print. Keep romance and dating simple.
- A tense hour, the Moon's square to Jupiter, between your 5th house and your 8th: debts, insurance and the paperwork nobody enjoys. The bigger plan clashes with the practical one.
The Moon is void of course from until , when it enters Gemini, your 6th house. The traditional advice is to finish rather than start in that window.
Where the Moon goes next
At the Moon moves on to Cancer, and the reading moves to your 7th house. With the Moon in your 7th house, you notice what other people feel more than what you feel. That makes you good company and a weak negotiator, so watch what you promise. In a couple, the day suits a direct question asked kindly.
Saturn today: the ruler of Capricorn
At 9°34′ Aries, your ruler Saturn is in your 4th house today, moving backwards through the sign. Your ruler in the 4th turns your attention inwards and homewards, and public ambitions wait while the foundations get looked at. While Saturn is retrograde, old responsibilities return for inspection. On 30 November it trines the Sun in your 12th house, which is the next thing to mark.
Capricorn this week: 27 October to 2 November 2026
- With Mercury in your 11th house and Mars in your 8th, this square brings competing claims from friends and the people you choose to spend time with and inheritance and what passes between generations. Haste causes mistakes; slow down at the steps that need care.
- At 9°26′ Leo the last quarter falls in your 8th house. Finish, file and let go in intimacy and trust.
The slow planets in your houses
Jupiter in your 8th house is traditionally good for shared money: a partner's income rises, a loan comes through, an inheritance question resolves. Intimacy deepens too. It moves on from Leo on 26 July 2027. Jupiter in Leo for Capricorn rising
Saturn in your 4th house puts weight on home and family: a parent who needs more help, a property that needs repair, a foundation that needs relaying. In Aries until 12 April 2028. Moving backwards until 10 December. Saturn in Aries for Capricorn rising
Uranus in your 6th house unsettles the job: new methods, changes of shift or employer, and a strong need for some freedom inside the working day. Gemini keeps it until 3 August 2032. It is retrograde until 8 February 2027.
Neptune in your 4th house makes home a refuge and sometimes a puzzle: unclear boundaries with family, and an ideal of home that needs checking against the real one. Aries keeps it until 21 May 2038. Retrograde until 12 December.
Pluto in your 2nd house reorganises what you own and why. Possessions that stood for an old identity tend to go, and what you earn becomes tied to what you value. It stays in Aquarius until 8 March 2043.
