The envelope by the keys

Try this today
- Open the envelope you keep moving.
- Cancel one charge you forgot you were paying.
- Write down the one comfort you'd never cut.
You know the envelope. Face-down by the keys, getting a little heavier every time you make coffee.
Tonight's full Moon is the Moon at its brightest, sitting directly across the sky from the Sun. It peaks at 12:12 a.m. EDT, so Monday starts with the light already full. Its old name is the Hunter's Moon, from autumns when people used the bright nights to stock up before winter.
That's the mood today: an honest count. Not the fantasy budget, the real one. The rent, the groceries, the subscription you forgot, the favor you keep doing because no feels harder than yes.
Open the bill. Check the balance. Then sort what's left into two piles: what stays because it feeds you, and what stays only because change is a hassle.
Skip it, and the late fee becomes Tuesday's errand. The same low worry follows you into the shower, the meeting, and the reply you send too fast.
Taurus, the sign this Moon sits in, trusts what it can hold. So keep the proof small: one receipt, one cancelled charge, one key you actually use.
The sky behind it
The Full Moon is exact at 12:12 a.m. EDT / 11:12 p.m. CDT / 10:12 p.m. MDT / 9:12 p.m. PDT, at 2°46′ Taurus. In whole-sign houses, that degree lights the first house for Taurus rising and the seventh house for Scorpio rising. At a Full Moon the Moon is opposite the Sun: here the Moon is in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio. October's Full Moon is traditionally called the Hunter's Moon. The Moon then squares Pluto at 12:45 a.m. EDT.

Love & relationships
Who always drives?

Try this today
- Ask who's covering what before the plans are made.
- Name one favor you can't keep doing.
- Reply with the real need, not the polite fog.
There's always one friend who drives. One sibling who never quite pays you back. One partner who thinks "we'll figure it out" counts as a plan.
Venus, the planet of love and taste, is moving backward through Libra, the sign of fair trade. Add a full Moon in comfort-loving Taurus, and the quiet math of who gives what gets hard to ignore.
Today is good for making that split visible. Left unsaid, affection slowly turns into bookkeeping, and nobody feels generous when they feel used. Resentment loves a vague arrangement.
Try one plain sentence: "I'm happy to drive Friday. Can you get us home?" Small, specific, easy to say yes to.
Say the number. Say the need. People who love you can usually handle both.
The sky behind it
Venus is retrograde at 29°13′ Libra at noon Eastern. The Moon opposed Venus at 6:59 p.m. EDT on 25 October, from 29°39′ Aries to 29°39′ Libra. After that, the Moon entered Taurus at 7:35 p.m. EDT. Venus is not listed as naked-eye tonight.
Body & mood
Slow is a speed, too

Try this today
- Eat breakfast sitting down.
- Do one small chore with a clear finish.
- Walk after dinner instead of arguing.
Morning may feel like opening the fridge and forgetting what you came for. Keep breakfast simple enough that it doesn't need a meeting.
With the Moon full in Taurus, your body may vote for slower, firmer, quieter choices. Give it something real to hold.
Do the tasks with handles: wash the mug, pack the lunch, line up tomorrow's shoes. Small order keeps the bigger pressure from taking over the room.
Afternoon suits steady work over big changes. Answer the ordinary email, refill the water bottle, and save the life overhaul for another week.
After dinner, tempers can rise fast. If you feel the heat, take it outside: a twenty-minute walk under a bright Moon beats an argument with the dishwasher.
Choose the walk.
The sky behind it
The Moon is in Taurus all day, with 100% light in the morning and 99% by evening. The Full Moon is exact at 12:12 a.m. EDT. The Moon squares Pluto at 12:45 a.m. EDT, the Sun squares Pluto at 8:12 a.m. EDT, and the Moon squares Mars at 10:18 p.m. EDT. The next lunation marker in this set is the Full Moon itself at 12:12 a.m. EDT, 2°46′ Taurus.
Sign spotlight
Taurus, it's your full Moon

Try this today
- Have the talk sitting down.
- Wear the outfit that doesn't pinch.
- Answer the direct question directly.
Taurus (and Taurus rising): this full Moon is in your sign, so the spotlight is on you. You may notice exactly what you need, and exactly who's been guessing at it.
The Sun and Mercury, the planet of conversations, sit across from you in the partnership zone of your chart. In plain terms: the people closest to you are part of today's story, and an old conversation may come back for a second round.
Someone close can tell when you're editing yourself. A partner, a client, a best friend: they don't need the speech, but they do need the honest version.
Use the kitchen table, not the hallway. Put two glasses of water down. Let the conversation have a chair.
If you keep performing calm, people start reading your pauses instead. Wear the shirt that fits. Say the sentence that fits better.

Why the Moon changes shape
The Moon doesn't change. Your view of it does.
Try this in a dark room: hold an orange at arm's length near a lamp and turn slowly. You'll watch its lit side grow from a sliver to a full circle and back.

That's the whole monthly cycle you see overhead. Our nearest neighbour makes no light of its own; it reflects sunlight, and how much of the lit half we see depends on the angle.
Astrologers call one full round a lunation cycle, roughly a month from dark to bright and back. Full means it sits directly opposite the light source, so its whole bright face points at us.
That's why a full one tends to feel like a reveal. Whatever you half-noticed about two weeks ago, in the dark phase, is now fully lit.
The names are older than any app. October's is the Hunter's Moon, after autumn nights bright enough to keep working outdoors.
Try this today
- Notice where the Moon comes up tonight.
- Check it again before bed.
- Tomorrow, see how much later it rises.

Tonight's sky
Catch it while it's low
Catch it low. That's when it looks enormous.

Step outside around sunset and face east. Tonight's Moon comes up big, round, and sometimes a little orange while it's low.
That size is a trick of your eyes. Next to rooftops and trees, your brain reads it as huge, and the orange is just sunset-colored air.
Give it an hour and look again. Higher up, it shrinks back to normal and turns bright white.
Then look southeast for Saturn, a steady yellow-white dot. Stars twinkle like they're being stirred by the air; that dot holds still.
Up before dawn? Mars and Jupiter are high in the sky. Mars has a warmer tint, and Jupiter is the brighter one.
Tonight, look for
The Moon first, in the east. Then Saturn: the steady dot in the southeast.
