13 voids, 9% void
A summer lighthouse, and the quietest void calendar of the year.

July is the quiet one. Thirteen voids, and together they add up to the fewest hours of any month in 2027, about half of a typical month's total. For anyone who times launches, signings or first meetings, it is the most forgiving month on the calendar.
The one stretch to note comes late: the Moon sextiles Mercury in Taurus and then runs void for most of a day before entering Gemini. Everything else is short, and one Libra void lasts only about an hour.
The New Moon in Cancer opens the month, a tender, home-centred start, perfect for nesting projects or calling family. The Full Moon in Capricorn mid-month is better for practical goals: finishing the thing, paying the bill, committing to the plan. Summer holidays, product launches, a new routine before autumn: July gives all of them plenty of room.

Nine voids under four hours
July is the month of short voids. Nine of its thirteen windows run under four hours, and only one, the Taurus void from July 27 to 28, passes twelve. The total, about 64 hours, is the lowest of any month in 2027.
Mercury has the last word five times, more than any other planet this month. The Moon conjoins Mercury in Gemini on July 3, sextiles it from Leo on the 7th, squares it from Virgo on the 9th, trines it from Libra on the 11th, and sextiles it again from Taurus on the 27th to open that long window.
The shortest void of the month comes in Libra on July 11 and lasts a little over an hour. The Scorpio one two days later is barely longer, at about an hour and twenty-four minutes. The Full Moon in Capricorn on July 18 sits outside any void: the Moon's last Capricorn contact, a square to Saturn, comes a little over three hours after it. Four voids start on a Friday (UTC).

July: when to wait, when to go

Try this today
- Schedule the launch you have been postponing.
- Spend the Taurus void on a slow lunch or a nap in the shade.
- Start a home project at the Cancer New Moon.
Mark the late Taurus void and treat the rest of the month as open. If you have been saving a start for a clean lunar window, choose July and pick almost any day.
The single thing to plan around is the Taurus void that starts at 21:28 UTC on Tuesday, July 27, and lasts until 16:10 UTC on Wednesday the 28th. That is a full working Wednesday in Europe and a morning in the Americas. Everything else in July is under ten hours, and nine of thirteen voids are under four, so a launch on almost any other day of the month is fine by this rule.

Worth knowing
Why so few void hours in July? The Moon keeps finding late-sign contacts with the planets, so its gaps before each ingress stay short. Same rule, different geometry.

Quick answers
Which month of 2027 has the least void of course Moon time?
July, by total hours. The comparison table on the 2027 hub ranks all twelve months.
Is the Moon void of course on July 4, 2027?
Check the July table and run the date through the checker in your time zone; the windows around the Cancer New Moon are short.
Is the Moon void at the Cancer New Moon on July 4, 2027?
No. The New Moon falls at 03:02 UTC on July 4, between two short voids: the Gemini one ended at 07:58 UTC on the 3rd, and the Cancer one does not begin until 02:35 UTC on the 5th. That makes the lunation, and almost all of July 4, clear.
