That quarter-day shift turns the return Ascendant by roughly three signs. A 10th-house return Sun in 2026 often becomes a 7th-house one in 2027.

Jupiter begins 2027 retrograde in Leo, after stationing at 27°01′ Leo on Dec 13, 2026. It turns direct at 17°00′ Leo on Apr 13, 2027, enters Virgo on Jul 26, 2027 and reaches 24°49′ Virgo by December 1.
So a 2027 Jupiter return belongs to people whose natal Jupiter is in the back half of Leo or the first part of Virgo: born roughly mid-2015 to 2016, 2003 to 2004, 1991 to 1992 and so on, at twelve-year steps. Some late-Leo Jupiters get three passes, because of the retrograde.
