- Note the evening of April 19 if you are in the Americas: that is when Taurus begins for you in 2026.
Taurus season is the slow, green middle of spring in the north, and the Sun takes its time here: 31.0 days in 2026, longer than either Aries before it or the winter signs.
The Sun enters Taurus at Apr 20, 2026, 01:39 UTC and stays until May 21, 2026, 00:37 UTC. That start lands on April 20 in UTC, but on the evening of April 19 for anyone in the Americas, which is the single most common reason people find two different Taurus start dates online.
It is a sign about staying, and the Sun obliges. It is moving a little slower every day now, heading toward its slowest point of the year in early July.

Moons in Taurus
Moons and planets, Apr 20 2026 to May 21 2027

The New Moon of Taurus season 2026 falls on May 16, 2026 at 25°58′ Taurus, and the Full Moon, opposite in Scorpio, on May 1, 2026 at 11°21′ Scorpio. In 2027 the season is unusual: it holds two Full Moons in Scorpio, one at its very start and one at its very end.
