Babies born in 2026 share Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries (93% of the year) and Saturn in Aries (88%). Uranus enters Gemini on Apr 26, 2026, so the year splits into Taurus and Gemini Uranus babies.

The big picture
What every 2026 baby has in common

Try this today
- Find your own Saturn and Neptune signs and compare them with your baby's. Parents and kids often sit decades apart on the wheel.
- If your baby arrived between Jan 26 and Feb 14, they caught Neptune in Aries but Saturn still in Pisces. That is a short, specific window.
You can spot a 2026 baby's chart from across the room, if you know where to look. Not the Sun sign, which changes every month, but the slow planets in the back row.
Pluto sits in Aquarius all year, between 2°43′ Aquarius and 4°21′ Aquarius. Every child born from 2024 into the early 2040s shares it, so it is less "your baby" and more "your baby's generation."
Neptune crosses into Aries on Jan 26, 2026 and stays. Only the 26 days before that date give a 2026 baby Neptune in Pisces. Saturn follows on Feb 14, 2026. Then, on Feb 20, 2026, the two meet at 0°45′ Aries, the very start of the zodiac.
That last one is the headline. Babies born in the weeks around Feb 20 have Saturn and Neptune almost on top of each other at the first degree of Aries. Astrologers read Saturn as structure and Neptune as imagination, so a conjunction is often described as dreams being asked to take a shape.
The sky behind it
Saturn enters Aries at Feb 14, 2026 · 00:11 UTC, which is the evening of February 13 in the Americas. Saturn and Neptune are exactly conjunct at Feb 20, 2026 · 16:53 UTC, 0°45′ Aries, the only exact conjunction of the pair between 2025 and 2027. Computed from JPL DE442, geocentric, tropical zodiac.

Taurus Uranus or Gemini Uranus: the April 26 line

Try this today
- Born near Apr 26? Put the exact time into the finder below. The switch happens at 00:51 UTC.
- Write down the Uranus sign in the baby book. It is the kind of detail everyone forgets in ten years.
Uranus takes about seven years to cross a sign, so a sign change in your baby's birth year is a real dividing line.
Babies born before Apr 26, 2026 have Uranus in Taurus, the tail end of a stretch that began in 2018. Babies born on or after that date have Uranus in Gemini, the opening of a new one. In 2026 that is 115 days of Taurus and 250 days of Gemini.
Astrologers tend to describe Uranus in Taurus with words like money, land and the body, and Uranus in Gemini with words like language, siblings, neighbors and information. The last time Uranus went through Gemini was in the 1940s. That is tradition talking, not a forecast about who your child will be.
Uranus turns retrograde on Sep 10, 2026 at 5°42′ Gemini and stays in Gemini, so there is no back-and-forth in late 2026.

Fire Horse babies start on February 17

Try this today
- Give the baby book both systems: the Chinese year and the Western Sun, Moon and rising sign. They answer different questions.
- If your due date is mid-February 2026, the finder below tells you which side of the new year you land on.
The Fire Horse superstition, explainedChinese zodiac element calculator
If someone has already called your baby a Fire Horse, check the date first. The Chinese year does not begin on January 1. It begins at the new moon that falls between January 21 and February 20 in China, and in 2026 that new moon lands on Feb 17, 2026.
So a baby born January 1 to Feb 16, 2026 belongs to the Wood Snake year. A baby born from Feb 17, 2026 to Feb 5, 2027 is a Fire Horse. Here is a neat coincidence: that same new moon is also a solar eclipse, at 28°50′ Aquarius. The Fire Horse year opens on an eclipse.
The Fire Horse carries an old superstition, especially in Japan, where births fell sharply in 1966, the last Fire Horse year. It is a folk belief, not a rule of any astrology. Western astrology has no horse at all. The nearest echo is that from Feb 14 onward a 2026 baby has two slow planets, Saturn and Neptune, in Aries, a fire sign.
The sky behind it
Lunar New Year 2026 is computed as the new moon of Feb 17, 2026 · 12:01 UTC, which is 2026-02-17 in China Standard Time (UTC+8). The next one, opening the Fire Goat year, is 2027-02-06.

What makes one 2026 baby different from another

Try this today
- Use the finder to see the Moon sign. If the time is unknown and the Moon changed sign that day, it will tell you both options.
- Born in the last week of October or early November? Check for retrograde Mercury and Venus together.
Two babies born in the same 2026 hospital, a few days apart, share the back row and differ in the front row. That front row is the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.
The Moon changes sign every two to three days, 160 times across the year, so it is the most personal placement in a newborn chart after the rising sign. Mercury turns retrograde three times, Feb 26 to Mar 20, Jun 29 to Jul 23, Oct 24 to Nov 13, each time in a water sign (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio). Venus is retrograde from Oct 3, 2026 to Nov 14, 2026, from 8°29′ Scorpio back to 22°52′ Libra.
Mars changes sign 8 times and never turns retrograde in 2026. Jupiter spends 180 days in Cancer, the sign where tradition calls it exalted, then moves into Leo on Jun 30, 2026.
A retrograde planet in a baby's chart is common and not a warning sign. It just means the planet looked like it was moving backward from Earth on that day.

Eclipse babies
Born on an eclipse: the four 2026 dates
Solar eclipses on Feb 17, 2026 at 28°50′ Aquarius and Aug 12, 2026 at 20°02′ Leo. A total lunar eclipse on Mar 3, 2026 at 12°52′ Virgo. Astrologers say a baby born within a day or two of one has the lights near the lunar nodes, a chart theme about direction. It is a talking point, not a worry.

Quick answers
What zodiac sign are babies born in 2026?
All twelve, depending on the date. A baby born Jan 1 to Jan 19 is a Capricorn, then the Sun moves through Aquarius (from Jan 20) and the rest of the wheel until it reaches Capricorn again on Dec 21, 2026 · 20:50 UTC. The full table is below.
What is special about babies born in 2026 astrology?
Three slow planets change sign around them. Neptune enters Aries on Jan 26, 2026, Saturn follows on Feb 14, 2026 and the two meet at 0°45′ Aries on Feb 20, 2026. Uranus enters Gemini on Apr 26, 2026. A baby born after that date has Saturn and Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius.
Is a 2026 baby a Fire Horse?
Only from Lunar New Year. The Chinese Year of the Fire Horse starts on Feb 17, 2026 (the new moon, China time) and runs to Feb 5, 2027. Babies born Jan 1 to Feb 16, 2026 belong to the Wood Snake year. Fire Horse is a Chinese-calendar idea, separate from the Western zodiac.
Fire horse baby 2026 in Western astrology: what does it mean?
Western astrology does not use the horse; it uses the planets. A 2026 Fire Horse baby born after Apr 26 usually carries Saturn and Neptune in Aries, a fire sign, which is the closest Western echo of the "fire" theme. Their Sun sign depends on the birth date.
Are there eclipses in 2026 that affect babies' charts?
Four. Solar eclipses on Feb 17, 2026 (28°50′ Aquarius) and Aug 12, 2026 (20°02′ Leo), and lunar eclipses on Mar 3, 2026 (total) and Aug 28, 2026 (partial). A baby born near one has the Sun and Moon close to the lunar nodes. Astrologers read that as an emphasis, not as a problem.
Is Mars retrograde in 2026 for babies?
No. Mars does not station retrograde in 2026, so no 2026 baby has retrograde Mars. Its next retrograde starts on Jan 10, 2027 at 10°26′ Virgo.
What about babies born in 2027?
They share the slow planets, and in 2027 those planets do not change sign at all: Saturn and Neptune stay in Aries, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius all year. See the 2027 guide for its own Sun dates, the Mars retrograde and the Fire Goat.
