Stellium in Pisces: the cluster without edges
A stellium in Pisces is three or more planets in Pisces, the mutable water sign ruled by Jupiter, with Neptune as its modern ruler. It concentrates a chart on absorbing, imagining and forgiving. In 60,000 computed charts 3.79% have one, peaking at 6.4% of 2000s births. Counting personal planets only, Pisces is the rarest sign of all.

How rare a stellium in Pisces is
About 3.8% of charts have three or more planets in Pisces; 0.65% have four or more. Counting only the Sun to Saturn it is 2.9%, and only the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars 1.8%.

Why personal-planet Pisces stelliums are the rarest of the twelve
Pisces comes last on two of the three counting rules. With only the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars, 1.78% of charts have three or more of them in Pisces, the lowest of any sign. With the Sun to Saturn, it is 2.92%, the lowest again. Only once Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are added does Pisces leave the bottom, reaching 3.79% and passing Aries, Taurus and Gemini. Four planets in Pisces turn up in 0.65% of charts and five in 0.03%, fewer than two dozen people in the whole sample.
The personal-planet record is real but thin. Pisces beats the next-lowest sign, Cancer at 1.90%, by about seventy charts in sixty thousand, a gap that a different random draw could close. The Sun–Saturn result is sturdier: Pisces trails the next sign, Taurus at 3.22%, by about 180 charts.
The sample's limits also fall hardest on Pisces. It covers births from 1950 to 2010, and Neptune did not enter Pisces until 4 April 2011, so the whole Neptune-in-Pisces generation is missing, along with the babies of 7 March 2023 to 30 March 2025, when Saturn and Neptune were both there. A child of those years with the Sun in Pisces started life with three planets in the sign. The rate among today's children is almost certainly higher than this page's figure.
What a stellium in Pisces concentrates: taking in more than it can sort
Pisces is mutable water. Water takes in feeling, and mutable means it fits whatever container it is poured into. Three or more planets there give a chart that absorbs other people's moods, music, guilt and enthusiasm, and only later works out which of them were its own. The nurse who carries the ward home in her head, the session player who can play anything after two listens, the friend who says yes to three plans on the same evening because each person asked nicely: each is a boundary letting too much through.
Opposite sits Virgo, which sorts, labels and finishes, and a Pisces cluster is that skill's absence turned into a talent. Pisces is also Jupiter's sign in the old scheme, which is the side people forget: generosity, faith, a readiness to forgive that others find either saintly or exasperating.
What it does not mean is psychic ability or victimhood, the two clichés attached to the sign. Absorbing a room is a perceptual habit, not clairvoyance, and in Pisces stories the rescuing runs both ways. Escapism is the fair criticism. Sleep, screens, a long novel or a second glass all work as exits, and the cluster's real task is choosing exits that send the person back in better shape.
Three hypothetical Pisces stelliums: a coder, a violinist and a volunteer
Picture someone born in March 2007 with the Sun, Mercury and Uranus in Pisces. That set is 9.3% of the sample's Pisces stelliums, and all of it comes from February and March births between 2003 and 2010: Uranus was in Pisces from 10 March to 15 September 2003 and again from 30 December 2003 to 28 May 2010, so each Pisces season in between had Uranus waiting. Call this one the intuitive coder, who finds the bug by staring at the screen until something looks wrong, cannot always say how, and works best at two in the morning with music on. Mercury in Pisces thinks in patterns rather than steps; Uranus beside it adds the leap.
Now an invented violinist with Mercury, Venus and Saturn in Pisces (3.7%) and the Sun just outside the sign. These births fall in the Saturn-in-Pisces years, 1964 to 1967 and 1993 to 1996. Venus is exalted, Mercury is doubly debilitated, and Saturn puts both on a timetable: three hours of scales before breakfast, a talent that would have drifted without the discipline, a person who distrusts a feeling until it has been practised into form.
A third chart, hypothetical like the others: the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Pisces (5.9%), from a Pisces season with Jupiter in the sign, as in 1951, 1963, 1974–75, 1986–87, 1998 or 2010. Jupiter is at home here, so the generosity is practical: the volunteer who runs the night-shelter rota, the teacher who keeps the struggling pupil back after class unasked. The risk is the hand that never closes. This chart lends the car and the sofa and is surprised when only one comes back.
Is a Pisces stellium generational? Uranus from 2003, and the Saturn years
Only mildly, and only lately. The highest decade is the 2000s at 6.4%, the lowest the 1950s at 2.4%, and nothing in between approaches the spikes other signs show. Uranus is why the 2000s lead, and it is the only outer planet in the sample's Pisces stelliums (26.4% include it): Neptune entered Pisces after the sample ends, and Pluto does not arrive until 9 March 2043.
The two smaller humps are Saturn and Jupiter. The 1960s (4.4%) had Jupiter in Pisces from 25 March 1962 to 4 April 1963 and Saturn from 24 March 1964 to 3 March 1967, less three months back in Aquarius. The 1990s (4.3%) had Saturn from 28 January 1994 to 7 April 1996, after a six-week visit in 1993, and Jupiter from 4 February 1998 to 13 February 1999.
The 2000s hold an odd pair of records. They give Pisces its highest all-ten rate and also the lowest personal-planet figure for any sign in any decade of the sample, 1.17%. More than four in five of that decade's Pisces stelliums needed a slow planet to reach three, and with Saturn elsewhere all decade, that planet was almost always Uranus. At the very end, Jupiter joined Uranus in Pisces from 18 January to 28 May 2010, so a Pisces Sun born in early 2010 began with two slow planets for company.
Jupiter is the ruler to locate: Neptune is absent from the sample's Pisces clusters
Pisces has two rulers in common use, Jupiter in the traditional scheme and Neptune in the modern one, and for anyone born before 2011 the sky settles which to read first. From 1950 to 2010 Neptune moved through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius, and it is in none of the sample's Pisces stelliums. Its sign is shared with everyone born within about a decade of you, so as a dispositor it adds little beyond your birth year. Jupiter changes sign about once a year and sits inside only 18.9% of Pisces stelliums. In the rest, its sign and house show where the cluster's compassion is spent: Jupiter in Capricorn builds an institution around the kindness, Jupiter in Gemini teaches and writes it down.
The dignities inside a Pisces cluster are lopsided. Venus is exalted in Pisces and appears in 51.5% of the sample's Pisces stelliums. Mercury is in both detriment and fall, the only planet to carry both debilities in one sign, since Virgo opposite is its home and its exaltation. Mercury is also the most frequent member, in 71.6% of Pisces stelliums, so the doubly weakened planet is the normal case. In the commonest set, the Sun, Mercury and Venus (12.6%), the exalted planet and the doubly debilitated one sit side by side.
A debilitated Mercury is not a weak mind. Mercury in Pisces thinks in images, analogies and whole impressions, and struggles with forms, filing and the order of operations. Venus exalted beside it brings the feeling for beauty and the readiness to forgive, which is why this cluster suits art, music, care and faith better than accountancy.
8th house Pisces stellium (Leo rising), with the Sagittarius and Libra versions
The table below gives the whole-sign house of a Pisces cluster for all twelve rising signs. Three deserve a closer look.
The 8th house Pisces stellium belongs to Leo rising. The Sun rules a Leo Ascendant and is in 68.3% of Pisces stelliums, so for most people with this placement the chart ruler sits inside the 8th house cluster. Imagine the Sun, Mercury and Venus there: intimacy without boundaries. The person merges fast and deeply and takes on a partner's moods along with their debts and family history. The 8th also covers shared resources and endings, so this is often the one who sorts out a dying relative's affairs or sits up through the last nights. Read the money side as symbolism about what is held in common, not as financial guidance.
With Sagittarius rising, Pisces is the 4th house, and Jupiter rules both signs, so the chart ruler is also the cluster's traditional ruler. The home turns into open house: the spare room always occupied, a family that takes in whoever needs taking in, a parent who was more present in spirit than in the timetable.
With Libra rising, Pisces is the 6th, the house of daily work and routine. Venus rules a Libra Ascendant and is exalted in Pisces, so a Venus here puts the chart ruler at its strongest in the house of service. The work suits care, therapy, music teaching, animal rescue or anything with shifts, and the routine is the weak point. Health, the other 6th house subject, is symbolism only here: a chart that soaks up the workplace mood needs more rest than the rota allows.

Saturn and Neptune have just left Pisces: the 2023–2026 overlap and what follows
Every Pisces stellium alive has just come through two long crossings. Neptune was in Pisces from 4 April to 5 August 2011, then from 3 February 2012 to 30 March 2025, with a final spell from 22 October 2025 to 26 January 2026. Saturn joined it from 7 March 2023 to 25 May 2025 and again from 1 September 2025 to 14 February 2026. For fourteen years Neptune softened and blurred each planet in the cluster in turn; for the last three, Saturn asked each of them for a shape. The typical result is a vague arrangement, a role or a relationship, that finally gets terms.
Births with Saturn in Pisces, from 1964 to 1967 and 1993 to 1996, had their Saturn return during that passage, the second for the older group and the first for the younger. A Pisces stellium that includes Saturn is now on the far side of it.
From here the sign is quiet for a while. Saturn moved on into Aries on 14 February 2026 and Neptune on 26 January 2026, so both now sit in the next sign along, where they make no major aspect to Pisces. Uranus in Gemini squares Pisces from 26 April 2026 to 3 August 2032, reaching each planet in degree order at about four and a half degrees a year. Jupiter in Virgo opposes the sign from 26 July 2027 to 24 August 2028, Jupiter in Scorpio trines it from 24 September 2029 to 22 October 2030, and Jupiter itself returns to Pisces on 14 April 2033.
Common questions
Is a Pisces stellium rare?
Yes, by most measures. 3.79% of 60,000 computed charts have three or more planets in Pisces, and counting only the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars it is 1.78%, the lowest of the twelve signs. The rate is highest for 2000s births, at 6.4%, because Uranus was in Pisces.
What does a Pisces stellium in the 8th house mean?
It means Leo rising. Intimacy, shared money, inheritance and endings take on Pisces's porous style, and the Sun, as chart ruler, is often inside the cluster. The 8th house stellium page covers the house in full.
Is Mercury weak in a Pisces stellium?
Traditionally, yes: Mercury is in detriment and in fall in Pisces. In practice it thinks in images and patterns rather than lists, a different strength rather than a missing one. It is in 71.6% of Pisces stelliums, so most people with one have it.
What does a stellium in Pisces mean?
A chart weighted towards absorbing, imagining and forgiving, with soft edges between self and others. Pisces is mutable water ruled by Jupiter, with Neptune as modern co-ruler, so the cluster is generous and adaptable and has to work at limits. Its house, counted from your rising sign, shows where.
Does Neptune rule my Pisces stellium?
In modern astrology it co-rules Pisces, but for anyone born before April 2011 Neptune is outside Pisces and its sign is shared by your whole age group. Jupiter, the traditional ruler, changes sign about once a year and is the more useful planet to find first.
The sign gives the style; the house it lands in needs your birth time. The calculator finds both.
