This tool computes your next lunar return: the instant the transiting Moon returns to the exact longitude it held at your birth, which happens about every 27.3 days. It shows the date and time, and where available the return Ascendant and a planet table for the chart cast at that moment.

A lunar return chart is a monthly counterpart to the solar return. Because the Moon moves about 13° a day, the return moment is sensitive to the natal Moon degree, and therefore to the birth time. If your time is unknown the result can be off by several hours.
How this is calculated
We compute the natal Moon longitude from your birth data, then search forward from today for the instant the Moon's tropical longitude matches it, and cast a chart for that instant at your birthplace from the JPL DE ephemeris.

- How often does a lunar return happen?
- Every sidereal month, about 27.3 days, so twelve or thirteen times a year.
- Is the birth time important?
- Yes. The natal Moon moves about half a degree an hour, and the return moment shifts by roughly the same hour.
